Thinking about a cruise on Celebrity Silhouette? Here’s your complete guide to where to eat (and drink!) onboard, based on my own experience sailing with Celebrity Cruises.
Dining is a huge part of any cruise, and Celebrity Silhouette doesn’t disappoint. Before I sailed with Celebrity, I’d heard a lot about how amazing their food was, so when I had the chance to take a short cruise, I jumped at it.
Even though I was only onboard for a couple of days, I managed to try quite a few of the restaurants and was pretty impressed. So, I thought I’d put together this guide covering every Celebrity Silhouette restaurant, what to expect, and where to find menus so you can plan your dining in advance.
Overview of Celebrity Silhouette restaurants
Along with stylish ships and fantastic itineraries, Celebrity Cruises are known for their exceptional dining and Silhouette is no exception. It’s a food lover’s dream, whether you’re a self-confessed foodie or just appreciate a good meal.
There’s something for every taste and occasion:
- Complimentary options like the Main Dining Room and Oceanview Café
- Speciality restaurants (available for an extra charge)
- Exclusive venues for suite and AquaClass guests
Complimentary Dining on Celebrity Silhouette
Main dining room (Grand Cuvee)
The Grand Cuvee is the main dining room on Celebrity Silhouette. Spanning two decks, its centrepiece is a stunning two-storey wine tower surrounded by sparkling chandeliers.
As you may expect the room is huge to accommodate the large number of passengers onboard. Despite its size, I never had to wait for a table. I dined here twice for dinner and once for breakfast, and each time the service was quick, the atmosphere relaxed and it never felt overcrowded, even with so many guests onboard.
Breakfast offers all the classics including omelettes, eggs benedict, cereal, pastries, yoghurt, and fresh fruit. My omelettes were perfectly cooked – warm, fluffy, and filling.
Dinner features a wide selection of dishes. During my sailing, options included broiled salmon, grilled chicken breast, braised beef short ribs, and vegetable korma. I chose the chicken, which was lovely (though I could’ve done with a few more veggies!).
Lunch is served here on sea days, with lighter fare like soups, salads, and burgers. I didn’t try it myself, as I was exploring other venues, but it’s a great mid-day option.

Oceanview Cafe (buffet)
The Oceanview Café is Celebrity’s buffet restaurant and it more than lives up to the hype. Before my trip, I’d heard that Celebrity offers one of the best buffets at sea, and I have to agree.
There was so much choice here. You could easily cruise for weeks and still not try everything. Breakfast ranges from English and American favourites to international options, while lunch and dinner include pasta, stir-fries, curries, pizzas, and more.
Don’t skip the dessert station with its amazing cakes and pastries

Open almost all day (including a late-night buffet), Oceanview Café is a great go-to at any time. It can get busy, but there’s plenty of seating. Even as a solo traveller, I never had trouble finding a spot.

Overall, Oceanview Café lived up to its reputation, great quality, loads of variety, and the kind of place you’ll visit again and again.
Mast Grill (poolside eats)
For casual poolside dining, the Mast Grill serves up juicy burgers and hot dogs, perfect for a relaxed day on deck. It wasn’t quite pool weather on my cruise, but I can see this being a hit on sunny sailings.
The Spa Café
Celebrity was the first cruise line to introduce a spa restaurant and it is a great idea.
The Spa Café serves light, healthy fare inspired by wellness, including freshly pressed juices, smoothies, energy bars, and nourishing small plates. I tried a pressed juice and a pesto pasta bowl here, both of which were delicious.
It is a great option to have onboard for those days when you feel like you’ve had one too many desserts (we’ve all been there!) or want something a little lighter.

Café al Bacio (coffee & cakes)
I know, Cafe Bacio is not really a restaurant but it was one of my favourite places onboard Celebrity Silhouette so I deserves a mention.
This European-style café is the perfect place to relax with a coffee, tea, or pastry. The cakes, cookies, and croissants are dangerously good. You’ll want to sit there all day.
Thankfully, it’s open till midnight which I loved. I often grabbed a late-night brew to take back to my cabin.
And the best bit? It’s complimentary!

Exclusive restaurants for suite and Aqua Class guests
Depending on what class of cabin you are staying in you may have access to some extra restaurants.
Blu (Aqua Class guests)
Blu is exclusive to AquaClass guests and offers a more intimate dining experience than the main restaurant.
The focus here is on healthy, spa-inspired cuisine. Think lighter meals and fresh ingredients, without compromising on flavour.
Breakfast includes options like smoothies, muesli, smoked salmon, and French toast (don’t worry, danish croissants, muffins and hot options are still available!). Dinner features beautifully prepared dishes such as grilled chicken, steak, and salmon fillet.
Luminae (The Retreat guests)
Guests staying in The Retreat have access to Luminae, a private restaurant serving modern, elegant cuisine. Menus change daily, featuring dishes not found anywhere else onboard.
Breakfast includes continental and hot options, from smoked salmon and pastries to omelettes and waffles. For dinner, you might find lobster roll, steak frites, or butternut squash farfalle.
Luminae is open for breakfast and dinner, and often for lunch on sea days (though it’s worth checking once onboard).

Speciality Dining on Celebrity Silhouette
Celebrity Silhouette features several speciality dining venues, offering everything from immersive 3D experiences to fine French cuisine. These aren’t included in your cruise fare, but they’re a great way to make your trip extra special, especially if you have onboard credit to spend.
I used mine to dine at the Tuscan Grille, and it was hands down the best meal of my cruise.
Here is a quick overview of the speciality restaurants available.
Le Petit Chef
Le Petit Chef is a dining experience like no other. It’s billed as entertainment and dinner but perhaps not in the way you would expect. Your table your table comes alive with 3D animation that plays out a story for each course
It’s a popular experience. I didn’t manage to get a booking here on my cruise and I really tried, you have to be quick!
However, the few people I spoke to that managed to get in for dinner raved about it, both the entertainment value and the food. They said it was one of the best specialty restaurants on Celebrity Silhouette.

Murano
Murano is a French-inspired fine dining restaurant known for its elegant atmosphere and tableside service. In a bit of culinary theatre, some dishes are prepared with flair right next to your table.
It’s one of the most sought-after reservations onboard. It seems everyone I spoke to had a booking there.
The Lawn Club Grill
Up on the top deck The Lawn Club Grill is kind of like a stylish barbecue. Part of the Lawn Club, with its real grass (yes really!) you can enjoy an outdoor meal overlooking the sea.
You can enjoy build-your-own pizzas, gourmet salads, and grilled meats while watching chefs at work. Or even join in a grilling or pizza-making class yourself.
Sushi on 5
As the name suggests, Sushi on 5 offers freshly prepared sushi in a relaxed setting.
I skipped it on my first cruise (sushi wasn’t really my thing at the time), but after visiting Japan and discovering a new love for it, it’s top of my list for next time!

Tuscan Grille
The Tuscan Grille is Celebrity’s take on an Italian steakhouse and a mix of rustic charm and modern flair. Expect handmade pasta, prime cuts, and rich Italian wines.
I dined here one evening and it was easily the best meal of my cruise. The food was outstanding, and the setting — with views over the ship’s wake — made it even better.
The staff were fantastic, offering great menu recommendations (and tempting me into dessert).
The only downside for me was it was felt a little uncomfortable dining alone. A hazard of solo cruising I guess but I’m still glad I stuck it out as it was truly a lovely meal.
