I’ve sailed on two of their ships, Valiant Lady and Resilient Lady, and had a brilliant time on both. Out of all the cruise lines I’ve tried, Virgin Voyages is the one I find myself talking about long after I’ve returned home.

Virgin Voyages Ships
Scarlet Lady
The ship that started it all. With her sleek, super-yacht inspired design, Scarlet Lady was a breath of fresh air for the cruise industry and proved that cruising could be stylish, modern and fun.
Where she sails: Mostly Caribbean itineraries from Miami, with the occasional transatlantic or repositioning cruise.

Sister to Scarlet Lady and also the first Virgin Voyages ship I ever sailed on. She lived up to the hype with the same vibe and design that Virgin has become known for.
Where she sails: The Mediterranean in summer, the Caribbean in winter.
Home ports: Barcelona, Spain (summer), Caribbean (winter)

Resilient Lady
Resilient Lady launched in 2023. She shares the same layout as her sisters but stands out thanks to her adventurous itineraries.
Home ports: Miami (USA), San Juan (Puerto Rico)
Where she sails: Caribbean, Europe and the occasional transatlantic / repositioning cruises.
Ports of call include: Piraeus (Athens), Amsterdam, Corfu, Dubrovnik, Mykonos, Santorini, Split, Rhodes, Zeebrugge (Bruges), Bridgetown (Barbados), Castries (St Lucia), Fort-de-France (Martinique), Kingstown (St Vincent), St. Maarten, Tortola (British Virgin Islands), Willemstad (Curaçao).

Brilliant Lady
Launched in 2025, Brilliant Lady is the newest addition to the Virgin Voyages fleet. Like her sisters, she shares the same bold design and onboard experience, but brings with her a fresh set of itineraries.

The lowdown on cabins
Once you’ve chosen your ship, the good news is the cabins are pretty much the same across the fleet. So no matter which Lady you sail on, you’ll get the same choices to suit your budget and style.
- 86% of cabins have a balcony (or “sea terrace” in Virgin’s words)
- 93% have an ocean view
- Solo Insider cabins are compact but great value. I’ve stayed in them twice and didn’t miss having a window or balcony. You spend so much time exploring the ship that you’re rarely in your cabin anyway.
- For a VIP experience there are 78 RockStar Quarters and Mega RockStar Suites. These come with plenty of extras like early restaurant reservations, priority embarkation and access to Richard’s Rooftop – a private sundeck and bar that feels like a members’ club at sea.
